S/Y Liv

The Arcona 400 has excellent build quality. She is both stiff and fast and has comfortable living space. The more we learn about Liv the more we are impressed with the craftsmanship and design.

When we bought Liv we planned to use her of cruising in the Baltic Sea during the summers and for a few off-shore races per year. We wanted to extend our range when cruising to our neighboring countries in the Baltic Sea and do longer and longer cruising trips as well as having a boat that would perform well in off-shore races.

The design of Arcona 400 is not optimized for long time blue water cruising. She is a sailboat that excels when sailing. She lacks some comfort that you would like during long time cruising that would impede sailing performance. Our objective now is to prepare Liv for long time cruising without making her a barge that we would not enjoy once we return to Sweden.
